Sample Block Quote from Websters Translation of the Bible

You knew that Webster authored Websters Dictionary but did you know he also translated the Bible into English? Check it out in this sample Quote from Psalm 91
Chapter 91
1 He that dwelleth* in the secret* place of the most High* shall abide* under the shadow* of the Almighty*.
2 I will say* of the LORD*, [He is] my refuge* and my fortress*: my God*; in him will I trust*.
3 Surely he shall deliver* thee from the snare* of the fowler*, [and] from the perilous* pestilence*.
4 He shall cover* thee with his feathers*, and under his wings* shalt thou trust*: his truth* [shall be thy] shield* and buckler*.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid* for the terror* by night*; [nor] for the arrow* [that] flieth* by day*;
6 [Nor] for the pestilence* [that] walketh* in darkness*; [nor] for the destruction* [that] wasteth* at noonday*.
7 A thousand* shall fall* at thy side*, and ten thousand* at thy right hand*; [but] it shall not come near* thee.
8 Only with thy eyes* shalt thou behold* and see* the reward* of the wicked*.
9 Because thou hast made* the LORD*, [who is] my refuge*, [even] the most High*, thy habitation*;
10 There shall no evil* befall* thee, neither shall any plague* come near* thy dwelling*.
11 For he shall give his angels* charge* over thee, to keep* thee in all thy ways*.
12 They shall bear thee up* in [their] hands*, lest thou dash* thy foot* against a stone*.
13 Thou shalt tread* upon the lion* and adder*: the young lion* and the dragon* shalt thou trample under feet*.
14 Because he hath set his love* upon me, therefore will I deliver* him: I will set him on high*, because he hath known* my name*.
15 He shall call* upon me, and I will answer* him: I [will be] with him in trouble*; I will deliver* him, and honour* him.
16 With long* life* will I satisfy* him, and show* him my salvation*.[1]

I have the additional tech that allows me to open the link shown above by an * symbol and see a Strongs number in Quickverse 2011. I bought 4 cd roms 7 years ago from Ephesians Four Group, one of which had this Quickverse 2011 running in Windows 10 Websters Bible Translation with Strongs. It is too tedious to attempt to manually copy each of those popup Strongs numbers onto this blog post, sorry. I did look at the html in the above scripture block and I saw a sequence of 4 digit numbers right after the html code "Name" which tells me there is a huge table somewhere in Quickverse which assigns corresponding Strongs numbers to the anchors defined by the sequentially numbered code "name" elements. You can see for yourself by viewing the above block quote with an html viewer built in to chrome or mozilla firefox. In Chrome select the three dots in the upper right corner and then select More Tools then Developer Tools. In Firefox select the three stacked horizonta lines in the upper right corner and then select Web Developer then Page source. Browse to the block of code that includes this example:

name="1548"></a></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="background-color: yellow;"><span style="font-family: &quot;trebuchet ms&quot; , sans-serif;"><b>1</b> He that dwelleth*  in the secret* place of the most High* shall  abide* under the shadow* of the Almighty*. <a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="1549"></a></span></span></div>

Now that I am looking at the example, there are more Strongs numbers in the block than there are sequential numbers which would seem to indicate a string of Strongs numbers can populate the document when the name code is found. I use html name and html # in this blog to help locate places on the page that have an iframe and either a youtube video, or a merry go round of book covers. name is used to physically establish the anchor to a location on the page, and #  is used to establish the target from somewhere so that if someone clicks on the hyperlink with the #  code, the cursor moves to the "name" location on the page. The most basic example of the system is this page: https://webmaster220.blogspot.com/p/no-frame-book-listing.html#List_of_books Try clicking on hyperlinks to go to the list of names of book covers, then click on the link below each book cover you were taken to and go back to the top of the document so you choose another link from the list of names of book covers.

 This was part of my Logos Bible Software Platinum resource library. Certain bibles come with customizable reverse interlinear display options. I was able to drag and drop this block of words and numbers into Word, and from there I saved it to a web page, opened the web page in Google Chrome using the file I created in Word at this web address: file:///C:/Users/Grandpa/Desktop/blogs%20posts/Psalm%2091.htm. From there I was able to drag and drop it into blogger into the compose window, not the html window.
just dragging or copying directly from Logos into Blogger looks like this:

the correct line is the bibliography, the jumbled up lines are supposed to say

I am blogging the above to myself so I don't keep spinning my wheels when I encounter the above jumbled up words from Logos.

I am not going to complain to Logos that the document has jumbled up issues since I have found the work around and it worked again today.

Title: Revised Websters Strongs-Numbered Bible
Publisher: Ephesians Four Group
In 1833 Noah Webster, who had mastered 20 languages including Hebrew and Greek, published the King James Authorized Version "with amendments to the language". In stating his reasons for producing this version of the Bible, Webster said: In the present version, the language is, in general, correct and perspicuous; My principal aim is to remedy this evil. It was with cautious reverence that Webster corrected misused grammar, removed offensive terms and expressions, and substituted commonly understood words for words that had fallen into disuse, or no longer carried the same meaning. He believed the Webster Bible to be "the most important enterprise" of his life, and referred to the Bible as: [T]he chief moral cause of all that is good, and the best corrector of all that is evil, in human society; the best book for regulating the temporal concerns of men, and the only book that can serve as an infallible guide to future felicity.
